Media Commander MC-20PRO Multi-Function Jog/Shuttle Controller is is a flexible, integrated control surface solution for controlling media playback and user assignable functions of any digital audio or video content on either a Mac or PC platform. The MC-20PRO comes pre-configured for use with either Adobe Production Studio or Apple Final Cut Studio (specified when ordering). In addition, key maps and template labels are also provided for Avid Xpress, Canopus Edius Pro, Media 100 844/x, Newtek VT 4, Sony Vegas 7 and others. Simply plug into your computer's USB port and after a short setup you're ready to go! In addition, its unique Editlink™ port provides the ability to optionally connect a network of up to 16 VCRs, camcorders, audio decks, and selected DVRs for multiple source capture of audio and video. The jog/shuttle dials and 22 buttons can be programmed and assigned any of the application’s short-cut keys or macros. Applications for this product include media playback control, digital video editing, digital audio editing, and DVD creation. It is designed for the professional editor who needs the flexibility to change the function assignments of the keys and jog/shuttle to accommodate changes or evolution in application software.

KeyAssigner Software (Windows 2000/XP only) provides an easy way to assign the functions and commands associated with each button and jog/shuttle dials. These can be assigned globally or mapped to any of 4 different possible modes (tasks). This allows the key map to be switched instantly as the task or application changes.

In addition, user defined labels for each button can be assigned that can be either printed out directly on the supplied pre-cut templates, and/or formatted in Microsoft word with virtually an unlimited choice of fonts, colors, and backgrounds using the document template (.dot) files as a guide. Custom labels can be made to make a professional-looking removable overlay.
